Brent Woolhouse, the current owner of Grove Company, LLC, started working nights and weekends learning the trade of installing sprinklers. In his late teens, he installed his first sprinkler system in Becker, MN, together with his father and brother-in-law. His father and brother-in-law installed three sprinkler systems to give them some experience in the trade.

Brent started learning the design side of sprinkler systems through a person working for the SPS Company in St. Cloud, MN. Together, they designed and installed sprinkler systems using the Nelson brand of irrigation systems, successfully installing three sprinkler systems during the first year and seven the following year.

It was during the third year when they installed a total of 17 systems that they changed to using the Hydro Logic, and eventually the Rain Bird brand of irrigation products, all the while Brent was working a separate full-time job in addition to installing sprinkler systems on the side.

During year four, Brent and his crew were so successful that he went on to design and install sprinkler systems on a full-time basis.

Today, the Grove Company installs well over 100 sprinkler system a year, using the Hunter brand which is a market leader in irrigation solutions, has the best quality products and carries a full five year warranty.
